SQL Server ALTER TABLE ADD Column

The following ALTER TABLE ADD statement appends a new column to a table

ALTER TABLE tbl_user
ADD gender VARCHAR (50) NULL;
or if you want to add multiple columns, just add with comma
ALTER TABLE tbl_user
ADD gender VARCHAR (50) NULL , userType int NULL ;
